Artem Murashko, a driven and focused professional, is the next guest in our soulful inFocus feature. During our conversation, we discussed the importance of personal growth and how a company can support its employees in achieving it. Check it out.

Can you sum up who you are in one phrase?

I would prefer to describe myself in one word: directness. I believe that honest and straightforward communication can solve any problem.

Did you have any fears when starting your career?

Certainly, I experienced fears, particularly in my previous job. I was concerned about my slow development in my field, which was discouraging for a while. To address this, I focused on learning by searching for courses and other resources. Eventually, I realized that my pace of growth was normal, but since I worked in a small team, I had no reference for comparison. As a result, I had anxiety about finding a new job, feeling that I was not good enough despite my experience.

At Innovecs, my career has progressed quickly. We have numerous internal educational programs that allow us to learn new skills. Such initiatives have given me peace of mind about my growth as a professional. The company is expanding into areas like Cloud, providing ample opportunities to learn while working on projects.

Have you ever experienced moments of self-doubt where you thought, “I can’t do this”?

Personally, I’ve never been in a situation where I felt utterly stuck or hopeless. There have been tasks of varying levels of difficulty, but I always believed that everything could be resolved, depending on how much time I had and how quickly I could accomplish it. Giving up has never been in my nature.

Do you have someone you look up to as a role model who inspires you to take confident steps in your career?

To be honest, it’s difficult for me to name just one person. I’d rather focus on the collective impact of my team and how we influence each other. Everyone has something to teach, whether it’s suggesting an idea or helping to answer questions. We hold regular meetings where we can discuss and share thoughts, providing valuable insights for all. It’s great to have the opportunity to both listen and speak.

What are the top five qualities you believe someone in your position should possess?

I would emphasize the following traits:

  1. Determination: It’s crucial to see tasks through to completion.
  2. Abstract thinking: Some tasks may seem unnecessary, but completing them can yield valuable results.
  3. Active listening: The ability to listen to team members and clients is essential to achieving success.
  4. Sociability: It’s easier to work with people who are open to communication and willing to answer questions.
  5. Resilience: Mistakes are inevitable, but they should not discourage a person from pursuing their goals. Instead, they should be viewed as opportunities for growth and improvement.

What does a comfortable work environment look like to you?

For me, a comfortable work environment is all about the people. It’s great to be part of a close-knit team and to have a supportive leader who helps you grow. In this kind of environment, everything runs smoothly, and communication is transparent. You know you can turn to your colleagues for help or advice whenever needed, and no problem or difficulty is too big to solve together.

Have you noticed any recent changes in yourself as a person?

I would say that the changes have mostly occurred in my professional approach to work. I now have a clearer understanding of which tasks I must complete on my own, where adjustments need to be made, and how to effectively communicate my reasoning and ideas.

Do you have any habits that help you stay productive?

One of my most helpful habits is my sense of responsibility toward my team. I have a specific area of responsibility, and I cannot bear the thought of letting my colleagues down. While working remotely, it can be challenging to stay motivated and keep up with the rest of the team. However, instead of allowing this to hinder teamwork, it’s better to speak openly with the manager and find solutions together. Overall, self-discipline and a sense of responsibility are essential to staying productive.

I agree with the concept of self-management. It’s crucial to keep ourselves on track and motivated, especially while working remotely. With so many distractions and competing demands, it’s essential to establish a schedule that works for us. While some flexibility may be necessary, we should always prioritize important tasks and make time for personal affairs. For instance, I try to adhere to a set schedule and adjust it as needed, such as shifting lunchtime to accommodate workload fluctuations. Ultimately, productivity is all about finding the right balance between structure and flexibility.

How would you advise someone who wants to join your team?

My advice would be to approach the opportunity with an open mind and a willingness to communicate. With this mindset, the experience will be more enjoyable. I won’t say it will be easy, but it will certainly be fulfilling.

What do you find most inspiring about Innovecs?

I feel a strong sense of personal and professional growth here. I see a clear path for my development, with achievable milestones and the freedom to move at my own pace. The people I work with make the experience even more enjoyable. Every day presents new challenges that require creative solutions, and I feel like I am constantly learning and improving.
