Founded in 1992, FHU became a member of IIHF on May 6, 1992. Ukraine has 7 professional clubs, 4003 players (607 of them are adults), and 25 ice rinks that comply with the Rules of the game in hockey. The largest arena is the Kyiv Sports Palace (6850 seats).
