Corporate values play an essential role in a company’s life. They help to improve employee’s satisfaction and increase engagement. Three core values we live by at Innovecs – Innovate, Inspire, and Care. We attract people who share the same beliefs to build interconnected bonds between teams.

In our Newcomer of the Month rubric series, we welcome new innovecsers from around the globe and help teammates get to know each other better. Today, we are honored to introduce our colleague Stanislav Klymenkov, Game Release Manager. We asked Stanislav about his background and passions, some insights on how to balance between life and work, and why he joined the Innovecs team.

—  Hi Stas. Tell us more about yourself. What’s your background and why did you choose Innovecs?

— I am Ukrainian and graduated from a university with a master’s in computer engineering. Before joining Innovecs I worked as Head of Content, where my responsibilities touched on testing, so eventually, I became interested in QA. I was looking for a job in this field and came across the vacancy for Game Release Manager. This position combines communication with people and testing, so it was a very smooth transfer from content manager to QA.

I applied for a job in the field I wanted where I could use skills from my previous experience. I got a lucky ticket. I am already fond of my work here, especially my team. Even though we work remotely, we communicate a lot, and everyone is willing to help. We have met in the office several times, played table tennis between work, and networked with each other.

—  How would you describe your personal and professional ambitions?

— Some years ago, I launched a news channel on Telegram where I share the latest updates on politics. I want to develop it, gather a bigger audience, and fill it with useful content. To do so, I have to focus on reading, do more research for relevant information, analyze it and bring it to my readers. It’s also a good way to practice my content and marketing skills.

My other pastimes are driving the car and playing a synthesizer. I started getting interested in synths not long ago, but I have yet to learn how it works and practice. As for driving, I have been passionate about it since my childhood.

Professionally, I would like to master my skills in QA Automation and pass the ISTQB Foundation Level Certification Exam. Certification validates testing expertise; moreover, it’s a good way to challenge myself and pass the exam successfully. Therefore, Innovecs has an in-house educational platform that helps gain and hone technical and soft skills. Every team member can take courses through InnoCamp.

—  What are your hobbies? How do you find a balance between work and life?

— Everything is simple — exclude sleep from your schedule, and you will have enough time for everything. Just kidding. Indeed, due to the situation in Ukraine, it’s hard to maintain a work-life balance, especially when you can suddenly be without electricity for the whole day.

The most important thing is to learn how to leave work at work, especially when you work remotely. Try to complete tasks during the workday and leave enough time for personal activities or dedicate time to family. Sounds easy, but not always easy to achieve.

When you provide yourself with rest, you will refill faster, have enough energy to give your best at work, and have fewer risks for burnout.

—  What do you value in the workplace the most?

— A company’s culture is one of its most valuable assets. Besides the fact that it profoundly impacts how teammates feel about their work, corporate culture brings teams together.

The team atmosphere is that piece that connects all aspects of work. With friendly teammates, it is much easier to survive difficulties. Considering how much time you spend with your teammates, they quickly become your second family.

—  What is the key to successful communication in global companies?

— The company should define and live upon its core values. They support the company’s vision, shape its culture, move to bring everyone towards the same goals, and function as one.

A company that represents its values will attract people with the same beliefs and build respectful working relationships.

According to my experience at Innovecs, I am in the right place with the right people.
