Global companies are looking for proven solutions to address their supply chain weaknesses imposed by the consequences of COVID-19, optimize mission-critical processes, and enhance overall consumer experiences. Internet of Things (IoT) is one of the technologies that help deal with either the entire supply chain process or some of its specific parts such as fleet management, warehouse/inventory management, cold chain monitoring, transportation tracking, etc.

Here are some of the cases proving the efficiency of IoT:

  • Atomy, the South Korean distribution company, has applied IoT to check goods availability and deliver to customers who order online immediately, achieving the supply chain efficiency 30% higher than before.
  • Acres Group, a landscaping company, recovered over $30,000 in stolen equipment and vehicles by implementing IoT-enabled tracking solutions.
  • Cloudleaf, a logistics and supply chain company, has connected its platform with 5,000 sensors and 60 gateways to track the movements of pharma goods. They monitor 25,000 pallets allowing them to achieve 100% visibility over the flow.

On our panel, we will discuss the areas where IoT-powered solutions can deliver the most value, analyze practical cases, and share our experience on the methods and approaches that infrastructure and operations (I&O) leaders should take in deploying IoT more broadly throughout their supply chain. In addition, we will touch on the following topics:

  • The utopian Extended Supply Chain — what is it?
  • Cloud adoption by traditional companies and key issues not letting them go full bang
  • IoT in the Supply Chain and Logistics industry
  • Skill sets required to excel in Logistics
  • Sustainability of the Supply Chain and link with the technology
  • Cold chain monitoring with the help of tech
  • Vertical and sub-segment varied requirements in the Supply Chain and how IoT can support the same
  • How blockchain helps boost the Supply Chain operations
  • Security risks in the Supply Chain
  • Other technologies in play
