- 4+ years of experience in functional and business analysis;
- Ability to translate business requirements to functional requirements;
- Experience in working with Infor WMS and TMS solutions;
- Industry awareness: Supply Chain overall and execution in particular (WMS, TMS);
- Experience of working in Agile environment;
- Strong analytical skills, problem-solving mindset, attention to details, ability to communicate effectively with different level of stakeholders;
- Ability and willingness to travel sometimes to work onsite with clients.
In summary, a Functional Business Consultant acts as a bridge between the client's business needs and implementation of software solutions. They ensure that the software is configured, customized, and used effectively to meet the client's functional requirements and objectives. Is subject matter expert on WMS and its configuration.
System Configuration: Based on the gathered requirements, the functional consultant configures the software system to meet the client's specific needs. This may involve customization of the software, setting up user roles, defining workflows, and configuring data fields.
Functional Documentation: Functional Consultants create comprehensive documentation that outlines how the software will be configured to meet the client's requirements. This documentation serves as a reference for both the client and the technical team responsible for implementing the changes.
User Training: They provide training to end-users and stakeholders to ensure they can effectively use the software to perform their tasks. This training may include workshops, user guides, and support during the transition to the new system.
Testing: Functional Consultants are involved in the testing phase to ensure that the configured software meets the specified requirements. They collaborate with the testing team to identify and resolve any functional issues or deviations.
User Support: After the software is implemented, Functional Consultants often provide ongoing user support. They address user questions, troubleshoot issues, and ensure that the software continues to meet the evolving needs of the client.
Change Management: Implementing new software often brings changes to established workflows and processes. Functional Consultants help manage these changes by working with stakeholders to ensure a smooth transition and user adoption.
