Requirements
  • 5+ years of experience in Quality Assurance, with at least 3 years focused on backend testing, specifically in the gaming industry
  • Experience working on mobile gaming projects
  • A proven track record of working on released/live products is highly desirable
  • Active participation as a member of a Scrum team alongside developers, game designers, UI/UX designers, animators, artists etc.
  • Strong experience in collaborating with remote teams
  • English: Upper-Intermediate level or higher
  • Proven ability in creating comprehensive test plans and writing detailed test cases
  • Nice to Have:
  • iGaming and real-money game testing experience
  • Familiarity with AppStore Connect and Google Play Console
  • Proficiency in test automation frameworks for backend services (e.g., RestAssured, Postman, JMeter, or similar tools).
  • Experience working with CI/CD pipelines and integrating automated tests within deployment workflows.
  • Hands-on experience with databases (SQL and NoSQL) for validating data integrity and performing backend data validation.
  • Understanding of RESTful services, microservices architecture, and commonly used backend technologies (e.g., Spring Boot, Node.js).
  • Familiarity with tools and technologies for version control (e.g., Git) and issue tracking (e.g., Jira).
  • Strong experience in writing, executing, and maintaining test cases, test plans, and test scripts for backend systems.
  • Ability to conduct performance testing, load testing, and stress testing on backend systems.
Responsibilities
  • Quality Assurance and Testing:
  • Lead backend testing efforts for mobile gaming projects, ensuring thorough coverage and high-quality standards for released and live products.
  • Create, execute, and maintain detailed test plans, test cases, and test scripts for backend systems, with a focus on ensuring data integrity and performance across SQL and NoSQL databases.
  • Perform performance, load, and stress testing on backend systems to ensure stability, scalability, and responsiveness under various conditions.
  • Collaboration and Teamwork:
  • Actively participate as a member of a Scrum team, working closely with developers, game designers, UI/UX designers, animators, and artists to deliver high-quality gaming experiences.
  • Collaborate effectively with remote teams, building and maintaining strong working relationships across different locations and time zones.
  • Test Automation and CI/CD Integration:
  • Develop and maintain automated test frameworks for backend services using tools such as RestAssured, Postman, and JMeter.
  • Integrate automated tests within CI/CD pipelines to ensure continuous quality assurance and streamline the deployment process.
  • Backend Systems and Architecture:
  • Test and validate RESTful services, microservices architecture, and backend technologies, such as Spring Boot and Node.js, ensuring alignment with design specifications.
  • Utilize version control (e.g., Git) and issue tracking tools (e.g., Jira) to manage and track testing progress, issues, and resolutions.
  • Industry-Specific Knowledge (Nice to Have):
  • Apply specialized knowledge in iGaming and real-money game testing, bringing insights into the unique testing needs of this sector.
  • Work with AppStore Connect and Google Play Console to validate mobile gaming applications for platform compliance and deployment readiness.

  • Documentation and Communication:

  • Document testing results, defects, and recommendations clearly and concisely, ensuring all stakeholders are informed of testing status and any identified risks.
  • Communicate effectively in English (Upper-Intermediate level or higher), both in writing and verbally, to facilitate collaboration and clarity across teams.
